Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. La Mesa Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to the contact channel contains only the details you choose to include and is used to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and time stamps. Those ordinary logs are reviewed in aggregate for site health and readership patterns. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools when enabled by the service configuration.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, fix faults, understand traffic, and improve the pages. Visitor lists are not sold, and the reference does not build individual user profiles.
External Websites
Pages link to county and state portals, libraries, archives, courts, and third-party search providers. Information submitted on those services is governed by their own privacy notices. That includes the sponsored results supplied by an outside company.
Who Processes the Data
Hosting and support providers may handle technical logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Disclosure occurs when valid legal process requires it, or when necessary to protect the service and its users.
Security and Retention
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the purposes that require them. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles on La Mesa Residents Directory to expose.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact the operator if a minor has sent personal information so the material can be reviewed and deleted.
California Privacy Choices
California’s CCPA/CPRA, Civil Code §§ 1798.100 et seq., may provide rights to know or access, correct, delete subject to exceptions, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-data uses, and receive equal treatment. The California Privacy Protection Agency explains the request process at privacy.ca.gov. The Delete Act, Civil Code §§ 1798.99.80 et seq., also created the DROP service for verified California residents to send deletion requests to registered data brokers. These rights do not automatically delete lawful government records held by San Diego County, La Mesa, California courts, or state agencies. Use the Contact Us page for data held by this reference.
